Day 13: Cap Ferret

We drove to Cap Ferret on the Atlantic beach on a beautiful sunny day. So did everyone else in France! Apparently this is THE place for French people to vacation.

Lots of sidewalk cafes, lots of people, bicycles, cars, kids, baby strollers, families, and sandy feet! Oh, and some beautiful French people as well.

And the tide was out, so the sailors had to wait.

Tim enjoying lunch. The waitress spoke no English, but we ordered anyway and hoped for the best.

Apparently "Salade Danaise" means salad with 2 mystery meats. One was ham for sure, and we think the other one was either duck or pigeon. It was delicious, whatever it was!

Wait! I'm sure I ordered French food! Apparently "Plat du Jour" includes this. Oh well, pizza--the universal food group. At least she didn't bring me a hamburger and french fries!

  1. Thanks for the photo for us sailors. We always say "Sailing teaches you patience", so waiting for the water to come back is just one part. Pura Vida D & R
